Elia Psillakis is a Water Chemistry Professor at the School of Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, Greece. Her research activities focus on fundamental studies and the development of novel sample preparation methods used for monitoring and studying the fate of organic contaminants in natural and engineered environments. To date her investigations have resulted in one patent and more than 75 publications, three of which have received “Top cited article” awards. She has more than 5300 citations and her Hirsch Index (H-index) is 38. In 2007, she was selected for a Fulbright Research Fellowship and used it at California Institute of Technology, USA. From 2014-2016, she acted as the Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs and Research at the Technical University of Crete.
